Solomon Islands Noni a big hit in US Market

by Richard Sanders, Staff Writer

Wild Noni, an Australian company, has introduced locally made Noni juice beverages to the United States through major retailers. The Noni fruits used in the products are organically cultivated, carefully selected, washed, dried, and processed at the Noni Processing factory in North West Guadalcanal Constituency.

Dettke’s company has dedicated resources to perfecting the intricate processes involved in harvesting, extracting, and preserving the Noni juice to meet global standards. Hon. Bodo Dettke, the owner of Solomon Noni Corporation and a Member of Parliament representing North-West Guadalcanal, shared with Pacific Islands News that his company, located in King George VI, east of Honiara, aims to penetrate the European and US markets.

A total of 250,000 Wild Noni beverages have been distributed to 150 retail outlets in Washington, California, and Florida since the end of May.

I am grateful for the assistance provided by certain family members, which enabled the introduction of pure noni juice into the US market.

According to Hon. Dettke, Wild Noni is currently the sole company in the Solomon Islands exporting pure Noni juice to Europe and the United States.

Wild Noni specializes in crafting natural and nutritious fruit juices, including flavors like pineapple, peach and pear, coconut, ginger, turmeric, and wild berry infused with Solomon Islands noni juice.

Hon. Dettke also mentioned that they recently shipped 4 tons of raw Noni juice to the US following the acquisition of FDA Export Certification.

After a nearly two-year wait, we were able to start exporting to the US once we obtained this essential certification, as Noni cannot be sent to the USA without it. We have also successfully registered our trademark for Wild Noni in London.

This achievement is unprecedented globally and there are plans to enter the Chinese market soon.
